Irish prozac. It's been about three weeks since m Irish prozac.

It's been about three weeks since my brother died. I've kept up with most of life -- some work, some flamenco, beds and coffees made in the mornings, hair washed, bills paid. Yet something in me untethered from the mundane. My brain fractured on autopilot My heart surrendered to infinity.

For each one who's died -- my parents, and now him -- part of me expands to a lightness of being where I breathe in wonder that we were born, lived and loved. I see my caravan of ancestors leading the way on celestial footpaths.

This is how I'll remember you. When we were young This is how I'll remember you. When we were young and free -- free from what happened later -- the growing up, clothed in the sharpness of living. But there were many joys, too. Joys to sweeten my sour tears. You were always my rock, brother. Now I want to smash rocks against the wall. Gone too soon, too fast. Before I could make amends. What silent words the heart speaks. We held hands once. We hold love forever.

My friend's grandfather was an Ecuadorian consul w My friend's grandfather was an Ecuadorian consul who helped over 200 Holocaust refugees escape Nazi Germany. Yesterday, during Holocaust Remembrance Day, he received a plaque in the Garden of the Righteous, an area of a local temple that honors non-Jews who have helped Jews.

Mr. Burbano defied protocol to follow a greater law. Should we all be so courageous.

The ceremony was incredible moving as were the testimonies, heard on film, from families that exist because of one man's decision to course-correct genocide.

Getting to this ceremony involved years of meticulous research that is still ongoing. Also ongoing is the hope we felt seeing people from different countries and faiths under one roof celebrating life and solidarity.

It was an honor for me to witness this moment.

Eva Zelig, a NYC-based filmmaker, made a movie about Burbano. "One consul daringly issued Ecuadorian passports to stateless Jews to delay deportation to death camps."
